1850 Sarah Mitchell (age 26, born in Pennsylvania) lived in McVeytown, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania, in a household with John D Mitchell (age 29), Joseph Mitchell (age 7), George Mitchell (age 5), and Ann E Mitchell (age 2). [1]

1860 John D Mitchel (age 41, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Harrisburg Ward 4, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Sarah E Mitchel (age 37), Joseph J Mitchel (age 17), and Ann E Mitchel (age 12). John D Mitchel was a clerk. [2]

1863 John D Mitchell, spouse of Sarah E. Mitchell, died on June 2 in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He was born on April 17, 1819, in Pennsylvania. [3] [4]

1898 Sarah E. Brenizer Mitchell died on November 14 and was buried at Harrisburg Cemetery, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Sarah E. Brenizer Mitchell was born in 1823. [5][6] [7]

The funeral of the late Mrs. Sarah E. Mitchell, widow of John D. Mitchell, who died yesterday at her home, No. 712 North Third Street, will take place Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. Mrs. Mitchell was ill but three days with pneumonia. Her maiden name was Sarah E. Brenizer. Her children are Miss Ann Elle Mitchell and Mr. George Mitchell, of this city, and Mrs. Emma Standish, of Wilkes-Barre. Anne and Wilson Mitchell are her grand-children.

1908 Emma Mitchell Standish died on April 23 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. She was born on January 10, 1857, in Harrisburg Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, daughter of John Mithell and Brenizer. [9]
