Notes for John Marshal and Aline de Ria

c 1267 The IPM of Aline la Marischal named her heir as John son of William le Marischal, aged 12. [1]

c 1270 An inquisition found that Aline la Marechal had enfeoffed her daughter Alice de Carhou, deceased, of the manor of Aselakeby for life only, and that after her death it ought to revert to the right heirs of Aline, and John le Marechal, son of William le Marechal, was her heir. [2]
