1743 Isaac Rohrer was born. His parents were John Rohrer and Elizabeth Snaveley. [1] [2] [3] [4]

1750 Elizabeth Groff was born. [5] [6]

1772 Isaac Rorah was taxed in West Lampeter Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania for 50 acres clear and 50 acres woodland. [7]

1774 Elizabeth Groff and Isaac Rohrer were married. [8] [9] [10] [11]

1779 Isaac Rorer was taxed in West Lampeter Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [12]

1780 Isaac Rohrer of Lampeter Twp, Lancaster County and Elizabeth his wife, were involved in a land transaction dated on December 30. Elizabeth, and Martin; daughter and younger son of of Martin Graft, deceased, sold land to David Graft, older son of Martin, deceased. The land had been granted to John Graft on 21 February 1718. In his will dated 28 Dec 1748, John Graft granted the land to his son Martin, who paid siblings John, Jacob and Anna, wife of Benjamin Miller for their shares of the estate. Martin died intestate with issue David, Martin, and Elizabeth. Elizabeth and Martin sold the land to brother David. The land was near land of Jacob Cryders, and George Ross. [13]

1781 Isaac Rohrer was listed in John Sleter's Company in the First Battalion of the Lancaster County Militia. [14]

1786 Isaac Rohrer was taxed in West Lampeter Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [15]

1790 Isaac Rorrer lived in Lampeter Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in a household with 6 males under age 16, 1 males age 16 and over, and 3 females. [16]

1798 Isaac Rohrer was named on the direct tax list in Lampeter Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [17]

1800 Isaac Rohrer lived in Lampeter Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 2 (10 thru 15), 2 (16 thru 25), and 1 (45 and over); and females: 1 (16 thru 25) and 1 (45 and over). [18]

1802 The will of John Stauffer bequeathed land to his son Daniel, adjacent to land of Isaac Rohrer, perhaps this Isaac Rohrer, since Isaac's daughter Maria Rohrer married Daniel Stauffer. [19]

1804 Henry Rohrer and Henry Landis affirmed that they saw Isaac Rohrer of Lampeter Twp, Lancaster County, write and sign his will, dated October 6. David Graff and Martin Rohrer were named executors. [20] The will named wife Elizabeth Rohrer and children: John, Ephraim, Joel, Christiana wife of Abraham Frick, Rebecca, Salome, and Mary wife of Singer. Grandchildren: John, Susanna, and Mary Singer. To my wife Elizabeth, I bequeath a dwelling place in my dwelling house the small room in the lower story and towards Northeast and so much place in the cellar kitchen and garret as she has need of or the spring house which she chooses. Further I bequeath unto her yearly twelve bushels of wheat which must be carried for her to the mill and in flour back again. Further two beds and kitchen furniture as much as she has need of one stove a chest a clothes press kitchen dresser and the house clock. Further one cow which must be kept on the place in the same manner as the occupier thereof keeps his milk cows also a fat hog of one hundred and fifty pounds weight, fire wood cut small as much as she has occasion for, garden as much as she has need of two barrels of cyder, and, of the fruit as much as she may use, fowls and eggs as many as she may have need of also hacklet flax or hemp eight pounds of wool and allow her a good riding horse when she chooses to ride. Further in money the sum of Four Hundred Pounds which shall remain charged on my dwelling place at lawful interest until she demands it. Further, I bequeath unto my son Martin one hundred acres of my plantation in Leacock Township which shall be divided by two men but in such a manner that the buildings orchard and meadow shall fall to his share and I value it to him at fourteen pounds per acre in payments of two hundred dollars yearly. Further I bequeath unto my son John, fifty acres out of the same place which is surveyed of already and I value the same to him at fourteen pounds per acre, gales of one hundred dollary yearly. Further I bequeath unto my son Henry the remainder of my said plantation and not herein before bequeathed excepting ten acres of wood land situated in the Horse Shoe Road and I value the same to him at twelve pounds per acre in gales forty pounds yearly. Further I bequeath unto my son Isaac my tan yards in Lancaster Township consisting of five acres and also ten acres on the Horse Shoe Road as above mentioned, and I value the same to him at three hundred and fifty pounds in gales of twenty five pounds yearly. Further I bequeath unto my son Jacob my plantation whereon I now live together with my part of the piece of land which I have in partnership with John Landis and I value it to him at sixteen pounds per acre in gales of one hundred and twenty five pounds yearly. Further I bequeath unto my son in law Jacob Sherrig my part of the piece of land in Hempfield Township which I have in partnership with said Sherrig and I value the same to him at the same price for which we have purchased the same. Further I bequeath unto my son Abraham two hundred and fifty pounds aforehand and before my daughters and then shall he be equal share with my two daughters.

1805 Isaac Rohrer, a minor son of Isaac Rohrer deceased, of Lampeter Twp, above the age of 14, petitioned the Orphans Court to appoint Martin Grove as his guardian. [25]

1806 Several of the heirs of Isaac Rohrer were parties to several deeds involving the estate. [26] [27] [28] [29] [30] [31] [32]

1811 John Rohrer and wife Esther released land, on October 12, to Abraham Rohrer, both of Leacock Twp, Lancaster County. The deed involved land from the estate of Isaac Rohrer and cited his will, which was written in German. The will described a plantation in Leacock Twp, to be divided among sons Martin Rohrer (married to Nancy), John Rohrer, Henry Rohrer, and Isaac Rohrer. "And whereas the heirs and representatives of the said Isaac Rohrer deceased, met and made up an account of the valuation monies of the said deceased & real estate in which account or statement was also included ninety two pounds ... which the said deceased advanced his daughter Elizabeth intermarried with Jacob Shirk ... and seventy seven pounds ... advanced to daughter Mary intermarried with Daniel Stauffer ... and also taking from the said sum a specific legacy ... bequeathed unto his son Abraham ... and also four hundred pounds which the said deceased left to his wife Elizabeth" [33]

1835 Elizabeth (Groff) Rohrer died on September 27. [34] [35] [36]

Son Isaac Rohrer may have founded Mountville, as recounted in a story in Lancaster County History by Klein, page 176. His son Jacob Rohrer may have founded Mount Joy, as recounted in several histories.

1804 An incorrect abstract reports: Isaac Rohrer's will dated 29 September was probated 6 Oct 1804. Named wife Elizabeth and children John, Ephraim, Joel, Christiana wife of Abraham Frick, Rebecca, Salome, and Mary wife of Singer. Grandchildren John, Susanna, and Mary Singer. Executors: William Webb, David Graff, and Martin Rohrer. Lampeter Twp [38].

A biosketch of Abraham Rohrer reports [39]:

Our subject is the son of Jacob and Anna (Hartman) Rohrer, and was born in East Lampeter Township, this county, August 4, 1813. The family is of Swiss origin, the first representative settling in America many generations ago. Grandfather Isaac Rohrer was a farmer in the above township and married Miss Elizabeth Groff, by whom he became the father of the following children: Jacob, John, Martin, Isaac, Henry, Abraham and Mary. Christian Hartman, the maternal grandfather of our subject, lived to be eighty-seven years of age, dying in 1829.
