1820 John Rohrer lived in East Hempfield Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (under 10), 1 (10 thru 15), and 1 (26 thru 44); and females: 1 (16 thru 25). [1]

1830 John Rohen lived in West Hempfield Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (5 thru 9), 1 (10 thru 14), and 1 (40 thru 49); and females: 1 (under 5) and 1 (30 thru 39). [2] [3]

John Rohrer moved to Wayne County, Ohio. [4]

1834 "In 1834 John Rohrer (perhaps this one) and Jacob Buchwalter came from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and settled in Wayne County south of Orrville. They were followed by the Martins, Sengers, Brennemans, and others." [5]

1840 John Rohrer lived in Baughman Twp, Wayne County, Ohio in a household with males: 1 (15 thru 19), 1 (20 thru 29), and 1 (50 thru 59); and females: 1 (under 5), 1 (10 thru 14), and 1 (40 thru 49). [6]

1845 John Rohrer of Wayne County, Ohio; Mary Rohrer, and her husband Isaac Rohrer, of Stark County Ohio; and Joseph Rohrer of Stark County, Ohio were represented by their attorney David Rohrer of Hancock County, Ohio as four children of Mary Rohrer, deceased, who was daughter of Jacob Sherrek senior, regarding the estate of Jacob Sherreck, the younger. 1845 Magdalena Killheifer Rohrer died on March 17 and was buried at Martins Mennonite Cemetery, Orrville, Wayne County, Ohio. Magdalena Killheifer Rohrer was born about 1793. [8] [9]

1850 Jno Rohrer (age 60, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Baughman Twp, Wayne County, Ohio, in a household with Jonathan Leisy (age 29), Mary Leisy (age 24), Matty Leisy (age 3), Clark Gays (age 15), and Lydia Linghinger (age 8). [10]

1860 John Roher (age 70, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Baughman Twp, Wayne County, Ohio, in a household with Jonathan Leisy (age 39), Mary Leisy (age 33), Magdelena Leisy (age 13), John Leisy (age 9), Catherine Leisy (age 8), Jacob Leisy (age 5), Sarah Leisy (age 3), Isaac Leisy (age 1), and Ann Eshbaugh (age 16). [11]

1870 John Rohrer (age 80, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Baughman Twp, Wayne County, Ohio, in a household with Jonathan Leisy (age 42), Mary Leisy (age 43), John Leisy (age 19), Catharine Leisy (age 18), Jacob Leisy (age 15), Sarah Leisy (age 13), Isaac Leisy (age 11), David Leisy (age 8), Henry Leisy (age 6), Mary Alice Leisy (age 4), and Reuben Leisy (age 1). [12]

1873 John Rohrer died on March 17 and was buried at Martins Mennonite Cemetery, Orrville, Wayne County, Ohio. The grave marker is difficult to read. [13] [14]

1873 An obituary for John Rohrer reported [15]:

March 17th, in Wayne county, Ohio, of old age, Pre. John Rohrer, aged 83 years, 4 months, and 18 days. Funeral discourse by Henry Beery, and Michael Rohrer of Medina county in German, and Michael Rohrer of Stark county in English from 2 Tim. 4:6-8.
