1860 Joseph and Mary Rohrer lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana with Samuel Rohrer (age 25), John Rohrer (age 19), Anna Rohrer (age 17), Elizabeth Rohrer (age 25)(daughter-in-law, wife of deceased son Henry), and (grand-son) David (age 3). [1]

1861 Samuel Rohrer and Catherine Butler were married on December 22, in Ashland County, Ohio, by Mr Kronlin, minister of the Gospel. [2] [3]

1870 Samuel Roher [Rohrer] (age 35) and Catherine (age 36) lived in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas with children John (age 7), Mary (age 6), Henry (age 4) Samuel (age 3), Allie (age 2), and Joseph (age 6 months). [4] [5] [6]

1875 S. F. Rohrer (age 39) and Catharine (age 40) lived in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas with children John (age 13), Mary (age 12), Henry (age 10) Samuel (age 9), Alice (age 8), and Joseph (age 6), Jrrry? (age 5), and Annie (age 2). [7] [8]

1880 Saml Rohrer (age 44) and Catharine (age 45) lived in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas with children John (age 17), Mary (age 15), Henry (age 13) Samuel (age 12), Alice (age 10), Joseph (age 9), Clara (age 8), and Annie (age 7). [9] [10] [11]

1885 Samuel Rohrer (age 51) and Catharine (age 52) lived in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas with children John (age 22), Mary (age 20), Henry (age 18) Samuel (age 17), Alice (age 16), and Joseph (age 14), Clara (age 13), and Annie (age 12). [12] [13]

1895 Samuel Rohrer (age 58) and Catharine (age 61) lived in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas with children Henry (age 26) Joseph (age 24), Clara (age 23), and Anna (age 22). [14] [15]

1900 Samuel Rhorer (age 64, born in Sep 1835 in Ohio), married in 1861, lived in Ottawa Ward 1, Franklin County, Kansas, in a household with Cathrin Rhorer (age 66), Henry Rhorer (age 34), Joseph Rhorer (age 29), Clara Rhorer (age 27), Anna Rhorer (age 24), and Stanly Henderson (age 20). Samuel Rhorer's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. [16] [17]

1910 Samuel Rohrer (age 75) and Catherine (age 76) lived in Ottawa Ward, Franklin County, Kansas with daughters Clara A (age 34) and Anna (age 32). [18] [19] [20]

1913 Samuel Rohrer (1835-1913) died and was buried at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas. [21] [22]

1915 Catharine Rohrer (age 83) lived in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas with children Henry (age 40) and Clara (age 30). [23]

1917 Catherine Rohrer (1835-1917) died and was buried at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas. [24] [25]

Mrs. Samuel Rohrer Dead

She and her husband were pioneers of county.

Deceased was 85 years old- Four Sons and Three Daughters Survive - Funeral Friday.

Mrs. Cathrme Rohrer, 85 years old and widow of the late Samuel Rohrer, died shortly before 10 o'clock last night at her home, 604 East Logan street, after an illness of five days. The Rohrer family was very well known here, Mr. and Mrs. Rohrer having moved to this county forty-seven years ago from Indiana. For a number of years they lived in the country where Mr. Rohrer was a prominent farmer. His farm was situated just east of the city.

Mrs. Rohrer was born December 14, 1832, in Pennsylvania and her funeral will be held on her eighty-fifth birthday anniversary. She was married to Mr. Rohrer in Indiana fifty-five years ago. He died July 11, 1913.

Four sons and three daughters survive Mrs. Rohrer. They are: John Rohrer, Needles, Cal., who will be unable to attend the funeral; Mrs. Mary E. Drake, Ottawa; Henry Rohrer, Ottawa; S. P. Rohrer, Chauute, here now; Joseph Rohrer, Winslow, Ariz., vho will arrive here Thursday night, Miss Clara Rohrer and Mrs. J. J. Young, both of Ottawa.

The deceased was a member of the Trinity Methodist Episcopal church. Her funeral will be held at that church at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. The Rev. H. A. Cook of Grantville, former Trinity pastor here will officiate. Burial will be in Highland cemetery. Old friends of the family will be the pallbearers.

1962 Daughter Anna M. Rohrer Young was buried at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas. Anna M. Rohrer Young was born in 1876. [28] [29]
