I am interested in the study of disease processes that unfold through time and in the development of statistical methods that can help us understand those processes on the basis of observed data. Such methods must be sensitive to the tension and balance between the two objectives of simple description vs. modeling of these complex processes.

I wrote a simulation based computer demonstration that shows several basic statistical concepts. The program has been used in a variety of settings including classrooms with projection systems, computer laboratories, and personal student computers. The program is easy to use, although it is dated by being a DOS program. Click on the next field to download the zip file. Free Tutorial
