Bio

I am currently a Ph.D. candidate with the Deparment of Economics at the University of Michigan where I am expecting the completion of my doctorate in 2013. As an undergraduate, I attended Cornell University and double majored in economics and government (political science). My main area of research is in public finance with an emphasis on tax competition, corporate tax competition, and the interaction of policies across jurisdictions.

My job market paper analyzes the theoretical implications of preferential versus non-preferential corporate tax regimes. It discusses both revenue and efficiency differences that arise when countries have access to two versus a single, uniform tax rate.
