an animation i did for class called "sideshow" is going to be shown as part of a combined screening of works from several classes at the university of michigan art school. here's the info:

What: Animation and video work of students from Fall 2003 courses
Where: Cheseborough Auditorium (between Pierpont and the Media Union), North Campus
When: Wed. Feb. 11, 7 pm

Approx. 90 mins of fun moving images.

Free and open to the public.

Stop by any time and absorb some fun: work varies from documentaries to fantastical animations and autobiographical journeys.

i have also put a version of this animation on the honeycomb under the classwork section. check it out if you want. i also added the beginnings of a fuzz discography to the fuzz section. later kids.

good day and welcome to the year two thousand and four. i have neglected the website for far too long, and i'm prepared to update the honeycomb for any and all who are interested to enjoy. it's been awhile so there's lots to cover. i had a great christmas with the fam and gave some nice gifts, while getting some in return as well. my long-time friend and companion of a vehicle, the johnny blazer himself, must have felt i've been neglecting him, and decided to get my attention by throwing away his muffler as i was driving on US23 yesterday. sweet, i needed something else to spend money on. did britney really have a drunken vegas wedding? and is tim burton really going to direct a video of hers? i am really looking forward to seeing tim burton's movie "big fish" which by most accounts sounds like a great film. i know it's got a great new pearl jam song in it for the end credit sequence. and i don't know if it gets better than "lord of the rings:the return of the king"! fantastic cinematic achievement in that trilogy. my michigan wolverines got sufficiently dominated by what has to be the best team in college football, the usc trojans in the rose bowl. i don't really have much to say about it. it was a great game to watch, and i was thoroughly impressed down after down by usc. they seemed to be a superbly talented, well-coached, dynamic machine. let's see i'll have to look around for stuff that i should put on the honeycomb. until then i'll leave you with my top music of 2003 list:

i have given this past year an overview and have come up with a list. however i am no music critic, i couldn't tell you what "good" music or the "best" music is, i can't even play music. so this is not my best of list, this is b's favorite albums of the past year excluding re-releases and other such stuff. ok, here goes:

[01]-the white stripes "elephant"
[02]-radiohead "hail to the thief"
[03]-turin brakes "ether song"
[04]-kings of leon "youth and young manhood"
[05]-the wrens "the meadowlands"
[06]-the strokes "room on fire"
[07]-cat power "you are free"
[08]-johnny cash "american IV:the man comes around"

[09]-my morning jacket "it still moves"
[10]-evan dando "baby, i'm bored"
[11]-the kills "keep on your mean side"
[12]-the shins "chutes too narrow"
[13]-m. ward "transfiguration of vincent"
[14]-josh rouse "1972"
[15]-new pornographers "electric version"

others:
pearl jam "lost dogs" - loved it, but not a proper studio album, so i left it off the list.
the fuzz "noise destroyers" - loved it, but personally know the band, so figured i wouldn't show any obvious favoritism.
plenty more great albums and re-releases this year.
