High Energy Physics...

High energy physics is a branch of science that tries to understand the interactions of the fundamental particles such as electrons and gamma particles plus lots of others. These are the basic building blocks of everyday matter making up the human body as well as the entire universe. This type of physics is called high energy because very powerful machines, such as the one located at SLAC,

are created to make these particles go very fast so that they can probe deeply into other particles and try to understand what they are made up of.
