This giant event is hosted by the Miniature Gaming Association of Ohio State University (MGAOSU), the Ohio Valley Hoplites, The US Pike and Shot Federation and HMGS Great Lakes.

 

There will be some local dealers present.   Events consist of a DBM Open (both 15mm and 25mm), DBR Open (15mm and 25mm) and 2 DBA Standard and a Big Battles (all 15mm).

 

The tentative (but pretty firm now!!) schedule is as follows:

Note that the start time of the DBM Open has been moved to 1 PM on Friday.

4th Annual DBM US Open, $45 ($40 for NASAMW or HMGS members) for the weekend gets you a golf shirt similar to what was given at Vancouver. DBM 3.0 will be used, rounds will be 3.5 hours, end on defenders bound. (350 AP’s for 25mm, 400 AP’s for 15mm. Two lists, same geographic area and year). To register for the DBM tournament, send your printed list (you can have two) and shirt size by 15 October 2004 to Richard Hartley at rhartle@columbus.rr.com . Include army name, book and list number, and year. You must have the list broken down by command, how many EE’s (element equivalents) each command has, its break point and the total EE’s in the army and the army break point (as a reminder, don’t forget to list who the baggage belongs to as well).

 

The cost for the tournaments listed below will be $30 ($25 for HMGS or NASAMW members) for the weekend or $20 for one day (no discounts):

 

1st Annual DBA US Open, 2.2 version will be used. Rounds will be 1 hour - four rounds will be run on Friday afternoon (Books 3 & 4), and four more rounds will be run on Friday Evening (Books 1 & 2). Playoff on Saturday at 9am to determine the U.S. Champion. Contact Bob Beattie at beattie@umich.edu to register and to request a loaner army.  If there are any players who do not want to do Big Battle on Saturday, we will have some standard game alternatives.

 

1st Annual Big Battle DBA US Open, 2.2  version of the rules will be used, with the NASAMW victory condition modification (battle is lost if CnC’s command demoralized AND more elements are lost than enemy).  There will be a base three rounds with a fourth, championship round for the two highest scorers PLUS any others that wish to play this round.  Contact Mike Demana at: mikedemana@earthlink.net.

 

1st Annual DBR US Open, DBR 2.0 will be used, rounds will be 3.5 hours, 400 AP’s for 15mm and 25mm. Two lists, same geographic area and year. To register for the DBR tournament, please email Steve Roper at sroper@umich.edu with army and scale (15 or 25mm.) Lists will be checked at the event. Loaner armies will be available for those wishing to try something different. Note: Third and fourth sessions will only be held if necessary based on participation. On Saturday afternoon there will be a pre-set armies mini event. A number of matched historical 100 point army pairs will be available for any one who wishes to try their hand at a small version of DBR.

 

FREE FOOD!!!!  Please be advised that the admission price also gets you a buffet on Friday and two buffets on Saturday.


Navigator USA

Navigator has committed to coming to DBC as of this date. Their website is:    www.navigatorminiatures.net . Navigator will be carry the Chariot line in 15mm by November as well as their own Navigator line in 25mm and 15mm. Ironwind Metal miniatures will also be there with their line of 25mm figures. They produce the line formerly known as “Ral Partha”.
