Note: Trinkle is pronounced "trinkley." The reason is that the family after which the road and marsh are named pronounce their name that way. Trinkle Marsh sits at the corner of Dancer and Trinkle roads, between Dexter and Chelsea in west-central Washtenaw County. From I94, get off at the Baker rd exit (#167 I believe). Head south off the e-way: the first light is Jackson ave. Turn right (west) here, and go apx 3.5 miles west to Dancer rd; turn right (north). The marsh will be on your right, past the corner of trinkle rd. It's small but good. Head east on trinkle, around the marsh and up the rise past the Harold Trinkle farm and look north (left); this is the field where the buntings, larks and other ground huggers abound. The roads in the area make for great raptor viewing, and the hedges are always offering good sparrow and finch distractions. Good luck, and thanks again DBS Chelsea
