From I-96 the fastest route is to take the Beck Rd. Exit and go north on Beck Rd. for about a mile and turn east on West Rd. There is a pull off where you can park just before West Rd. dead ends at a waste water treatment plant (this plant doesn't seem to have lagoons). This area can be good for both field and marsh birds and is one of the few spots in Oakland County where Sedge Wrens nest. There is also a small Heron rookery to the south. While nothing really exceptional have been found here several nice birds for Oakland County such as Marsh Wren (nests), Purple Martin, Great Black-backed Gull (flyover), Orange-crowned Warbler, Lincoln's Sparrow, Northern Shrike, and Northern Harrier have showed up.
