It is part of either Waterloo or Pinkney Rec. areas. There is a fire road on the south side of the lake, but it is at least a mile on foot from any place to park. There is a small dirt road near where Island Lake and Werkner roads intersect that goes west, and there is a parking area at the end of the VERY rough dirt road (may be almost impassable at times to less than a 4x4!). Keep walking west from there and you'll eventually spot Island Lake on the north, about 100' off the trail/road. Or you can take the Waterloo/Pinkney trail south from Park Lyndon South, and where the trail makes a sharp right (west) turn towards M52, go left on the fire road/trail, and you'll get to the same place. -----Original Message----- From: Bob & Linda Allen [mailto:blallen@dmci.net] Sent: Thursday, March 30, 2000 1:25 PM To: Bruce M.
