Edison Lake -- for gulls in winter ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Edison Lake is the extreme east end of the widening of the Huron River east of Belleville. It is east of the portion of the river called Belleville Lake. Edison Lake is a good place to look for gulls in the winter. To get there take I-94 to the Haggerty Rd. exit about 1 1/2 miles west of I-275. Go south on Haggerty a short distance to Huron River Drive. Turn west. Go less than a mile to a point where a road comes into to Huron River drive from a sharp angle on your right. This is Edison Lake Rd. Make a sharp right turn onto Edison Rd. and follow it east a short distance to a parking area from which you can watch the gulls. If you drive a short distance farther you will come to a deadend and turnaround circle. From that area you will be able to see some gulls that are hidden from view at the other vantage point. While in the area check for gulls also at Belleville Lake and Grace Lake (Tyler Rd. pond). Bruce
