Glendalough
is where Saint Kevin had his monastery. The name means "valley of the two lakes" in Gaelic. And indeed
it is a valley with two lakes and a waterfall between them. It is a very scenic and spiritual place. A fully intact
normon tower still stands, as you can see here. The grounds of the old monistary are covered with tombstones and
celtic crosses. Sheep roam around freely in the grave yard. Saint Kevin was reportedly very kind to animals.
