Alex Johnson does most of the performing and producing. I write,
arrange a little, and stuff like that. Get a 320K aiff sample of The Ballad of Jimmy Bob and Clio.
Oh, dear...What can the matter be? After you hear this happy version, you may not remember anymore!
Here's a slow, creepy version of the same tune.
This guy has a lot of samples from the 70s. When the familiar bass riff to The Electric Company kicked in, a tear dang near came to my eye.
Schoolkids
Records is a great store, and now, a great record label.
I'm a big fan of Frank
Allison and the Odd Sox.
If there were such a thing as post-punk B-horror
movie, Borax would provide the
soundtrack. They play, in their words, rock with a capital
ARRRR! Once, when I was about 16, I played
drums with them for about a half-hour. They didn't seem to mind that I
can't play drums. (They're a lot better now.) Check out the new CD, too!
Kari
Newhouse technically fits the "singer/songwriter" definition. Still,
that makes her sound cheesy, and she isn't. She may not admit it, but she
does a mean impression of these heavy-metal sloped forhead guys we've
both met. I can't help but think I knew her before I actually met her,
when I scanned the graphics for her page. These things happen to us
native Ann Arborites, I guess.
Amazin'
Blue is a great a cappella group. My bud Alex is producing
their next CD, and I'm making graphics.
