Sponge-Snouts

From The Windjammer in the Forest

Shadow-peacocks
sleep on pillows
stuffed with thunder.
Lily-lyres
sitting on chair-men
wave their fans.
Well-trained
dog-stones
come and go
and fetch shreds
of raw meat
between their fangs.
Rose-foam-hats
greet their reflections
in the immense sea of the moon-mirror.
Sponge-snouts eat
eat little slate-sponges.
