all revolving around cardiac
IK1,
Kir2.1 and
Polyamines.

Dominant
negative suppression of IK1, or functional knockout, is studied in
mice overexpressing a nonconducting mutant (GYG to AAA substitution in the
selectivity filer) Kir2.1 channel subunits in the heart

Upregulation
of cardiac IK1 is achieved by overexpression of WT Kir2.1 channel
subunits in the mouse heart
