Persuasive Writing
English 425.02: Portnoy

Exercises due December 5

Modified Version of Exercise #1, pages 276-77

How's that "intro" coming?

Follow the directions for Exercise #1 in Ancient Rhetorics, but do not write a peroration. Your "intro"--your exordium (introduction or insinuation), narrative, and partition--probably will change a bit as you write your final paper, but this exercise certainly will get you started and may even be close to the final draft. So get writing!

Please type this assignment and bring three copies to class on Wednesday.

As usual, feel free to email me if you have any questions.
