Persuasive Writing |
Exercises due September 12 |
Modified Version of Exercise #2, pages 130-31 If you can't get to a parking lot, don't worry: think about several bumper stickers or short sayings you've heard recently and list them at the top of the page. Write about a page-long response (typed, please) which, though not necessarily in perfect form, demonstrates that you've thought about the questions being asked, about ideology (from Chapter 1's readings), and about these ideas. |
Modified Version of Exercise #4, pages 33-35 We started this exercise in class on Friday. For Part A of this exercise, continue your list until you are satisfied that you've generated a thoughtful list. Follow the directions for Parts B and C. Bring to class your rewritten thoughts (again, typed) for one of the issues. This record of your thoughts should amount to a page or two of writing. |
As usual, feel free to email me if you have any questions. |
