Exercise #2, page 73
Using the contemporary stases we laid out in class (fact/definition,
cause/consequence, value/quality, and action/procedure), do Exercise #2 on
page 73. Instead of using one of the issues from Chapter 1, though, work
with an issue you might use for your second and third papers.
Many of the questions in Chapter 4 will help you, since the set of stases we're using looks very much like the ancient stases (it is just more useful outside of a court of law).
I'd like you to seriously consider your issue from several different perspectives. If it would help you to quantify the assignment, aim for a total of twenty to twenty-four position statement or questions within the stases rubric--an average of four or five per stasis.
