Figures of Speech Everywhere You Look!

As you read, collect examples of figures discussed in the chapter or in the handout you received. Bring six to class (you can photocopy them, bring in originals, or write down the quotes; just be sure to provide citations--which do not have to be properly formatted). You can use up to two that you heard on television or the radio, and a total of three can be from advertisements. At least three must be from print texts (hard copy or online) which are not advertisements. Identify the figure(s) being used in each of the examples.

Select two as favorites (at least one which is not an advertisement) and write a few sentences telling us why you like them.
