What we are doing
Each year, AROC Detroit rents out various tracks to let people drive around the track, seeing how fast they and their cars are.  The event is open to anywone who wants to have fun and has a safe car.

We intend this to be a enjoyable day at the track, to stretch your car's legs before winter storage, and to improve your driving skills.  These are NON-COMPETETIVE events, so no times will be taken. 

We plan on giving the absolute maximum driving time, rain or shine, so be ready to go.  Cars will be grouped by performance potential and drivers' experince.

chedule for the October Event
8 am- Tech and registration open
9:30am - mandatory driver's meeting
10:00am- First drivers session begins
12:00 or so- lunch break and touring session
12:30-1pm- restart drivers session
5pm or so Event closes

Drivers will be required to wear a minimum Snell M90 or newer helmet, and must be belted in with the stock 3 point or 5-6 point harness.  NO 2 or 4 points allowed.  This will be strictly enforced, and you wil NOT recive a refund if you fail tech due to this.

Roll bars are REQUIRED for open cars.

Also, no open wheel cars this year, sorry about that.

We reserve the right to dismiss or hold out any drivers for spinning, leaving the track surface, wheel to wheel driving, or otherwhise endagering yourself or others.  Remember, this is a safe and fun event.

Registration for the September event
If you get your form in before August 20 , the fees are
AROC members - $95
Non members - $110
After that, add $20

And no mail in registrations can be accepted after Aug 27 - contact me to see if there are any openings on the day.  If there is space, there will be a extra registration fee of  $25.
