Class 2: Sources and transfer of innovation.

In order to understand how to take ideas from infancy and nurture them into new products or services that customers want it is important to start with where such ideas come from and how they can be transferred. Chapter 4 details the functional and circumstantial sources of innovation and suggests how these innovations may be transferred to the desired exploitation sites. The cases stimulate some interesting questions on when, how, and where a firm may go to for innovation ideas or inventions.
