Class 13: Implementation of the decision to adopt an innovation

Recognizing the potential of an innovation is one thing. Successfully adopting it is another. Chapter 11 explores some of the impediments to adopting an innovation and suggests remedies. The case illustrates how the right choices in Strategy, Structure, Systems, People, and Environment (S3PE) can allow a firm to overcome the handicaps of a competence-destroying innovation.
