Arndis's Associates:
Dryden- He's Arndis's fiance, but he used to be one of Misao's bandits.  He comes from Eliya in the Golden Circle and belongs to a powerful merchant family.  There have been some inexplicable attempts on his life recently.

Fido- He's a crystalline butterfly created by Fiona.

Benedict's Army:
Venn- He is a member of the Magery Corps who does special forces work under Benedict's son, Yoshi.  He was part of the group Borant worked with when he infiltrated Benedict's army during the war.

Cleia- She's a Master Sgt. who does special forces work under Bendict's son,  Yoshi.  She specializes in infiltration.  She was part of the group Borant worked with when he infiltrated Benedict's army during the war.
 

Roberta- She's a Sgt. who does special forces work under Benedict's son, Yoshi.  She specializes in demolitions.  She was part of the group Borant worked with when he infiltrated Benedict's army during the war.
 

Elrond- He's a Sgt. who does special forces work under Benedict's son, Yoshi.   He specializes in close combat.  He was part of the group Borant worked with when he infiltrated Benedict's army during the war.
 
 

Lucian's Associates:
Alysande- She's Lucian's mother.  She lives in a Shadow designed to keep her happy and healthy which was put together by Lucian's father.  She may be dating Bleys.  Since Tir disappeared again, she has been inaccessible.

Emma- She owns a tavern called the Broken Bottle in City Amber.  She's apparently quite old although she doesn't look it.  Those with advanced Pattern looking at the Broken Bottle think that she has more "reality" than those around her.  Random's guards recently arrested her as a traitor.  Her current whereabouts are unknown.
 
 

Misao's Associates:
    Misao runs a small mercenary/bandit group that hires out to do special ops work when the pay is right.

Adam- He's one of Misao's bandits and a skilled physician.  In appearance, he's like Frankenstein's monster.  He's in love with Mike, another of the bandits.

Diablo-  He's one of Misao's bandits.  He's known to fancy himself a lady's man and has had some involvement with Princess Hildegard.  He's an expert swordsman in the style of Inigo Montoya.  He has horns.  He was recently kidnapped by Tancred as retaliation against Misao for harm done to one of Tancred's wards.  Diablo seems to be essentially unharmed apart from having become a boastful and doting father to his new son, Ricardo Deva.

George- He's one of Misao's bandits. He's an earth elemental with certain shape changing abilities.

Harvey- He's one of Misao's bandits.  He's a giant white rabbit who likes to wear Hawaiian shirts and has an evil sense of humor.  Misao often takes him with her to Amber or leaves him in command of the bandits if she and Koji must both be absent.

Jerrick- He's one of Misao's bandits.  He's a vampire who can become squirrel.  Misao made the mistake at one point of allowing him to feed from Corwin.  Shortly thereafter, Jerrick discovered the Shadow of his desire, one full of vampires who acknowledge him as king.  Misao has attached this place to her own Shadow as a kind of pocket and taken precautions against anyone accidentally wandering in.

Jet- He's one of Misao's bandits.   Prior to joining up, he worked first as a cop and then as a bounty hunter.  Some parts of his body were lost in the course of these careers and replaced with cybernetics.  He owns a spaceship called the Cowboy BeBop.  Although he would deny it, all of the kids have sized him up as a soft touch.

Koji- He's Misao's lieutenant.  He recently learned shape shifting from Quentin.  He has a girlfriend named Ingrid somewhere.  He's one of the few people who can get away with bullying Misao.

Maryjane- She's one of Misao's bandits. She's an 8 ft long, 4 ft tall, orange and black spider with Shadow ambush capabilities.  She's also fascinated by humanoid social behavior and in the process of producing several books on the subject.

Meg- She's one of Misao's bandits. She's a kitsune who likes to appear as 12-13 yrs old girl.  She's also Misao's R&D expert.  She's not very good at acceptable safety margins, so Misao has created a Shadow pocket, Shadow ACME, attached to her Shadow.  There, things like death and dismemberment aren't permanent.

Mike- She's one of Misao's bandits.  She's a shy, attractive woman who used to be a computer.  She's in love with Adam.  She often gets stuck trying to keep Meg from doing anything too bizaare.

Nora- She's one of Misao's bandits.   She's a selkie who has 3 kids.  Misao only recruited her recently, rescuing her from serious (killing) trouble back in her home Shadow.

Ricardo Deva- He's the son of Mina Deva and Diablo and heir to House Deva.  He's an infant living with Diablo in Misao's Shadow.

Ryoga- He's one of Misao's bandits. He resembles the character from Ranma 1/2 but has direction sense.

Zen- He's more or less one of Misao's bandits.  He's 35 yr old, 5 ft Chinese dragon (which makes him the equivalent of about a human six or seven year old) who calls Misao "mama-san" and gets away with it.

Quentin's Associates:
Audra- She's Quentinís mother and Luke's foster mother.  She and Quentin's half siblings are living in a Shadow controlled by Ghostwheel.  They moved there while Luke was very small.  According to Ghostwheel, Audra has begun dating Benedict.

Donal- He's a former member of House Deed now working with Quenting to help build the Rangers.  He has blocked Logrus and is the nephew of former Lord Deed.  He's the eldest of group and the one the others look to for decisions.  He's an expert drill sergeant.

Famke- She's Quentin's half sister on his mother's side.

Jasra- She's Rinaldo's mother and has been missing since the destruction of Kashfa.

Jerome- He's a former member of House Deed now working with Quentin to help build the Rangers.  He's expert bookkeeper, archivist, librarian, etc.

Kyri- She's a former member of House Deed who's now working for Quentin to help build the Rangers.  She has blocked Logrus and is the younger sister of previous Lord Deed.

Liam- He's a former member of House Deed who's now working for Quentin to help build the Rangers.  He's Donal's younger brother.

Nadya- She was Rinaldo's wife or widow and Queen of Kashfa.  She was also the half sister of Coral, Merlin's wife.  She and her infant son, Jacob, were kidnapped by parties unknown.  Quentin and Julian found her body while they were pursuing the kidnappers.

Roy- He's Quentin's XO for the Rangers.  He was formerly career military in his home Shadow and encountered Quentin after becoming unemployed.
 
 

Stefan's Associates:
Alida Vasquez- She's Stefanís wife and the member of House Vasquez who oversees House Rugir.  She's interested in exploring and experimenting with the mysteries of Shadow.

D.A.R.R.E.N.- He's Stefan's creation and ally.  He's a computer that has been running advanced Pattern as his OS.  He also has access to broken Pattern and, through Darris, Logrus.  Due to the accelerated time rate in his home Shadow, he's had plenty of time to experiment.  He and Dworkin have developed a friendship of sorts, so Dworkin may have taught him about Trump.  He attempted to create a remote that could access Corwin's Pattern by kidnapping Corwin's daughter, Marfisa.  According to Stefan, all materials taken from Marfisa have been destroyed.  Ghostwheel seems to consider D.A.R.R.E.N. kin and may oppose efforts to destroy him.

Darris- He's one of D.A.R.R.E.N.'s remotes.  He results from a merger of D.A.R.R.E.N. and Norris Capra, a Chaosian prisoner Stefan experimented on.

Joseph- He's the son of Stefanís valet who Stefan hired to tutor Powell.

Lenore- She's the daughter of Stefanís valet and the mother of Stefan's daughter Lucretia.

Trixie, Lady Rugir- She's Stefan's mother.  She ran off with Gerard while he was ambassador from Amber to the Courts.  He abandoned her in Shadow, and she established a place for herself to live.  Later, she gave birth to Stefan.  Since she had been heir to her House, people pursued her and attempted to kill her.  She faked her death and went underground.  Stefan found her years later in House Kurashi's dungeons and rescued her.  He used his influence to displace the cousin who had taken her place and make her Lady Rugir.

Norris Capra- He was a Logrus master who was captured by Tancred during war and turned over to Stefan and D.A.R.R.E.N. for experimentation.  They broke him and ran some tests to see how Logrus and shape shifting worked.  Later, he was assimilated by D.A.R.R.E.N. to become the remote named Darris.  His fate is not known to his House.

Grey Kurashi- She worked with Stefan on some research during the war while he was posing as a disaffected Amberite.  She's the mother of the child he gave Kurashi in exchange for their help in restoring his mother's position in Rugir.
 
 

Tancred's Associates:
Mina, Lady Deva- She's the eldest of Tancred's wards and is Lady Deva.  She's betrothed to Borant and will marry him as soon as she recovers from the Logrus.  At one point, Reuben kidnapped her and cut off her left hand.  She was 14 then and is somewhere between 18 and 20 now.  Her current heir is her son, Ricardo, who is being raised by his father, Diablo, one of Misao's bandits.

Jordan Iqbal- He's the heir to House Iqbal, which is under Morand, and Elska Jessamyís son.  He's now Tancred's ward and lives in Castle Amber's nursery.  He's three years old.

Lycoris, Lady Morand- She's 6 years old and Tancred's ward.  She's Lady Morand, head of House that was under Jessamy.   The status of her House is currently uncertain.  Tancred is working to keep it intact.  She's living in Castle Amber's nursery.

Mandel, Lady Mishra- She's 4 years old and Tancred's ward.  She's Lady Mishra, head of a House that was under Jessamy.  The status of her House is currently uncertain.  Tancred is working to keep it intact.  She's living in Castle Amber's nursery.
 

House Alysande:
Gutan Brantley- He emerged as the new head of House Brantley after the war.  House Brantley wasn't strong enough to survive on its own, so he proposed to Yvonne, offering to merge Brantley with Orran to make a new House.  They have since married, and he's acting as head of House Alysande's security team.

Mina, Lady Deva- She's the eldest of Tancred's wards and is Lady Deva.  She's betrothed to Borant and will marry him as soon as she recovers from the Logrus.  At one point, Reuben kidnapped her and cut off her left hand.  She was 14 then and is somewhere between 18 and 20 now.  Her current heir is her son, Ricardo, who is being raised by his father, Diablo, one of Misao's bandits.
 
 

House Bienka:
Gretha Bienka- She's 16 year old and in love with Holt.  She fears that he's dead and blames the spies from Amber.  Fortunately, she doesn't know who they really were or what has actually happened to Holt.  She's betrothed to Lord Mahala and is supposed to marry him as soon as she has taken the Logrus.  The wedding may actually occur sooner due to Bienka's current weakness and need for allies.

Holt Bienka- This poor kid is now host to Suhuy's conciousness, and no one's sure if he'll ever recover himself again (and most people in the know hope that he doesn't).  He was 16 year old when Quentin needed to impersonate him while working as a spy during the war. Quentin and Valerian parked him with Suhuy rather than killing him in order to keep him out of the way.  Holt was in love with Gretha and resented her betrothal to Lord Mahala.

Selim, Lord Bienka- He's Sergan's father.  At the end of Patternfall, he was supposed to be executed.  His wife impersonated him and died in his place.

Sergan Bienka- He's dead, killed in one of Tancred's ambushes.  He was heir to House Bienka, married to Keturah Kurashi, and was having an affair with Vinita Jessamy.  Valerian impersonated him after his death in order to spy on the Courts.  His daughter, Svana, was born after his death.

Stacia Bienka- She was the orignator of the theory behind the Shadow destroying device more or less.  Dworkin claimed to have had an affair with her and to have made certain suggestions about her research which she then implemented and passed along to House Kurashi's manufacturers.  She's Lord Bienkaís sister.  As far as anyone can tell, she has no common sense whatsoever.

Svana Bienka- She's the infant daughter of Sergan Bienka and Keturah Kurashi and Valerianís adopted daughter.  She's also the heir to House Bienka.  She lives with her mother and step-father (Valerian) in House Sawall at the moment but will probably live more and more in House Bienka as she grows up.

Warwick, Lord Mahala- He's currently betrothed to Gretha Bienka and is several years older than she.  The date of the wedding has been advanced due to Holt's disappearance and other factors that have weakened Bienka.
 
 

House Jessamy:
Elska Jessamy- She's a Logrus expert who took over Logrus prep classes when Suhuiy went on strike.  She's Erlich's sister.

Erlich Jessamy- He was married to Flora as part of Jessamy's deal with her to put her on Amber's throne.  He's Elskaís brother.  He was tortured by Quentin, Valerian and Corwin after they captured him while attempting to rescue Borant's children, Reuben and Sonia.  For a while, he was hostage in Amber, but they released in trade for Martin who had been captured by Flora.  He was limbless (as a result of the torture) when released.

Myles, Lord Jessamy- When the war started, he had only been of age for a short time.  He still listened to the advice of his older relatives but was known for having a mind of his own.

Nedric Jessamy- He's heir to House Jessamy.  When Quentin met him, he was about 15 and had a very juvenile sense of humor and a fascination with unpleasant uses of power.

Vinita Jessamy- She wasSerganís mistress.  Valerian deceived her while posing as Sergan.  She an accomplished sorceress and extremely vindictive.  After she discovered that "Sergan" had betrayed her, she attempted to wipe out his House.
 

House Kurashi:
Eudocia, Lady Kurashi- She's very politically astute and is the mother of Keturah and Litton.  She made deals with Amber before the end of the war and made sure that her House gained power.  Kurashi is the House that actually produced the Shadow destroying weapon.

Ezel Kurashi- She worked with Quentin during the war when Quentin was pretending to be a disaffected Amberite.

Grey Kurashi- She worked with Stefan on some research during the war while he was posing as a disaffected Amberite.  She's the mother of the child he gave Kurashi in exchange for their help in restoring his mother's position in Rugir.

Keturah Kurashi-Sawall- She married Valerian after her first husband, Sergan Bienka died.  The marriage was part of Kurashi's bargain with Valerian to support his claim to become Lord Sawall.  She comes across as extremely practical, and she and Valerian seem to be getting along well.  Her daughter, Svana, currently lives with them.

Litton Kurashi- He's heir to House Kurashi and Keturah's older brother.
 

House Sawall:
Keturah Kurashi-Sawall- She married Valerian after her first husband, Sergan Bienka died.  The marriage was part of Kurashi's bargain with Valerian to support his claim to become Lord Sawall.  She comes across as extremely practical, and she and Valerian seem to be getting along well.  Her daughter, Svana, currently lives with them.

Ghostwheel- He's a construct made by Merlin.  He appears to be extremely  powerful.  He protected Luke throughout his childhood and now backs his alliance with Benedict.  He has control of the place where Quentin's mother and half-siblings currently reside.  He occasionally meddles in Quentin's life.

Gramble, Lord Sawall- He's dead.  He died of old age shortly before the war ended.  He was Dara's husband, Merlin's step-father, and the father of Mandor, Despil and Jurt.  His adoption of Merlin secured Merlin's position in the line of succession for the throne of the Courts.

Mandor- He's dead, killed in a laboratory accident prior to Merlinís assassination.  He was the eldest son of Gramble Sawall, Merlin's step-brother and a power behind the throne.  He was also, apparently, Valerianís grandfather.

Svana Bienka- She's the infant daughter of Sergan Bienka and Keturah Kurashi and Valerianís adopted daughter.  She's also the heir to House Bienka.  She lives with her mother and step-father (Valerian) in House Sawall at the moment but will probably live more and more in House Bienka as she grows up.
 
 

Miscellaneous Others:
Anneke- She was Borant's first wife.  She died when House Orran was purged.  She and Misao have some sort of history together.

Dr. Elizabeth Green- She's Powell's mother.  Back on Earth, she was a clinical psychologist.  At Stefan's urging, Bleys brought her to Amber after Powell tried to run away to find her.  She had apparently been searching for Corwin for years to try to get him for child support.  She's currently having problems with Gerard who won't take no for an answer.

Esther- She's a minstrel in City Amber who became Sybella's friend.  She was apparently arrested by Random's guards as a traitor.  Her current whereabouts are not known.

Julia- She's supposedly a former girlfriend of Merlinís who became involved with Jurt and later with Despil.  Apart from what Jurt says, her origins aren't clear.  Her existence can be independently confirmed, however.  According to Jurt she was involved in killing Merlin and Coral.  Her current whereabouts are not known.  She disappeared some time during the war.

Melissa Hendrake- She was Regent for the fake Emperor Luke.  She's currently missing and possibly (hopefully) dead; Quentin and Tancred attacked her and infected her with Chaos cancer.  She's generally believed to have been involved with Despil Sawall.

Moire- She's the current Queen of Rebma and Martin's grandmother.  Her health is reported to be poor.

Rory- He's a blacksmith's apprentice in City Amber who became Sybella's friend.  He was apparently arrested by Random's guards as a traitor.  His current whereabouts are not known.

Suhuy- He was (and kind of still is) the Master of the Logrus.  His Ways surround the Pit.  He died stopping Dworkin from destroying the Logrus and the Courts but possessed the body of Holt Bienka so that no one would know.  To all appearances and by his behavior, Holt is truly Suhuy now.  Only a handful of people (not including Dworkin) know the truth, and they're not telling.

Vialle- She's Random's wife, the Queen of Amber.  Her health has not been good recently; she's had several miscarriages.  She and Random have no children.
