He Will Share

Have you ever felt, like everything was going wrong?
All at once, like one bad song?
It starts with something, so tiny and small,
But before you know it, it’s monstrous and tall.

Have you ever done something good, but get blamed for it being bad?
Or helped someone out, only to have them make you sad?
Have your parents ever not seen it your way?
And directed you in the right path, but without letting you have a say?

Have you ever felt like nobody was listening?
Like your words just were sitting there glistening?
You’d get motivated and do something,
But when others saw it, their laughter just made you sting.

Or you’d get left behind, when everyone else was doing something fun,
Just because your beliefs were different, or your values were the wrong ones.
Or your responsibilities would hold you back,
And there’d be that noncommittal shrug of what you lack.

Ah, but you see, there is Someone there,
No matter if you don’t care,
Who does know what’s going on,
And knows you’re not just a pawn.

You may hear it a million times, but a million and one won’t hurt,
He’s seen it all, feels it all, and knows when you feel like dirt.
Who do you think helps you to keep going?
When your world just seems to have stopped flowing?

When everything you say, is wrong, ignored, or laughed at,
That Someone will listen, and for you He will bat.
It’s hard to feel accepted, or feel like someone cares,
It’s hard to see past yourself, and through other’s defiant stares.

But the strength to push through, the barriers between us,
And the power to believe, in the truth with no fuss,
Comes from the Word, and God, who listened to our cries,
And gave Jesus, His Son, to save us from the world’s lies.

So the next time, Satan tries to trick you, into thinking no one cares,
Make sure you give, the Savior’s ear His share.
And it’s guaranteed, by that Great Book of old,
To improve that empty feeling, just be bold.
