A little background on these poems...Forgiveness was my first poem, I never thought I was a poet, and still don't think I am, but one Friday night after doing the church program I was inspired, I'd like to think by God, to just write a poem. So I tried, and I came up with this. It came from the heart...so I was brave enough to show it to some people at church the next day, and asked them what they thought of it, without telling them who wrote it. They actually thought it was ok! So...I just sorta sat on it and didn't write again for a while. Then along came the Midwest Youth Rally...and I was asked to write a poem linking to the theme 'Forever My Love'. I was nervous about it, but prayer helps...and I did get inspired...I don't know where the story line came from but I went with it. I didn't want to read it myself (yeah...I'm chicken), so Alice read it for me on Friday night at our Agape Feast. But yeah...since nobody commented on it...I sorta sank back into not writing. But I got inspired again when our own youth had an Agape Feast, and so I wrote 'The Man'. 'To be like Jesus' and 'Stars' were ones I just sat down and wrote after getting inspired. 'Look to God' was a response to a message on our club page about impending finals...so I wrote it to hopefully give a boost to anyone who was going through tough times. Stand for the Right was inspired by the message and theme of the campus ministries people who came to Ann Arbor for the school year, who helped out our youth outlook and that of the entire campus so much. 'Where is the Fight was just written, I don't know if it's as good. Well...hopefully you'll enjoy these poems...or at least get the true meaning of them...I am inadequate to express the goodness of God, but I tried...
