In God, Life

There is a time to walk, and a time to run,
A time to be sad, and a time to have fun,
A time to laugh, and a time to cry,
A time to live, and a time to die.

When a close one, like Elisa, has passed away,
When someone you know, can no longer stay,
It is hard, to walk, and stand tall,
It is much easier, to just take a fall

In times like these, there is no sun,
In times like these, there’s no desire to run.
In times like these, there is no tomorrow,
In times like these, there’s no one to follow.

The despair felt, the depth and the pain,
Is indescribable, undeniable, all is in vain,
The questions arise, as to why this came about,
She didn’t deserve it, of that there’s no doubt.

What is there to live for? Where is there to go?
What is there to die for? Who is there to show?
That life is precious, something to cherish,
But how can we cherish, when one of ours has perished?

And in these times, where life is so bleak,
It is increasingly hard, to look for and seek,
That who is all-powerful, all-knowing and loving,
Who breathed life into us, and helped in our growing.

Who is God, that He would let this happen?
Who is God, that He would let her die?
Who is God, that He would let sin reign,
Who is God, that all that is allowed is pain?

There is denial, there is acceptance,
There is anger, there is repentance,
A lot of things change, in times like these,
Except One Being, that you must believe.

For God right now, looking down on us today,
Has tears streaming down His face, as we pray.
For though He knows, that we are in pain,
He also knows, the true consequences of sin’s reign.

For on that fateful day, on that cross of wood,
His only Son, bore a death that only He could,
And God felt the pain, that we are feeling today,
God felt that pain, thus He can wash it away.

For us to learn, to understand the depth of His love,
For us to know, the terrible grip of sin’s glove,
We must walk through the coals, by looking above,
And through our ordeal, become stronger for love

We must focus, on the perfect plan that God has,
Despite the circumstances, the pain will pass,
For we must believe, that God has a plan,
And through that plan, we must know it’s in His hands.

There are times when we’ll be weak, where we won’t be able to accept.
The fact that one of ours, has fallen, without a net,
We will cry, and we will wonder,
Whether there is a purpose, in this world asunder.

BUT, in those times, of weakness and strife,
We MUST turn to God, for only then will we appreciate life.
