Italian and Italian American Sites
The following sites include information on the Italian American experience and on Italy itself. I have tried to pick those that would be most useful for the student of Italian American culture. Unfortunately, Italy with its high culture and its prestigious language (dialect is still considered illiterate peasant speech) still dominates much of scholarship and the web is no different. However, these sites, some of which are directories, do contain information on Italian American life and provide links to Italy that the Italian American researcher, depending on which generation he or she may be, would find useful.
