Transjordanian prime minister Tawfiq Abu al-Huda secretly meets British foreign secretary Bevin. They agree that Transjordanian forces will enter Palestine at end of Mandate.
March 2: US delegate tells Security Council US favors implementing partition by "peaceful measures" only.
