Footnotes. The data were collected from three sources. Enrollment, student demographics and teacher information came from the 1996-97 school enrollment database and the 1996-97 professional staff database, both from the New Jersey Department of Education. The "About the Students" and "Class Size" sections came from responses by the school districts to an Inquirer survey of every area district this summer. Funding sources do not include "other sources," such as budget surpluses or tuition fees from non-resident students.
