1458 IN BRIEF
King Henry VI makes an effort to reconcile the two sides through declaration of a "Loveday."  Although superficial views see Queen Margaret and Yorks walking arm-in-arm to a service of reconciliation at St. Paul's Cathedral, the reconciliation is only superficial.   Deep-rooted antagonisms between the Lancasters and the Yorks remain.
