Enjoy the variety and the individuality of each site; GIS is far more than simple acquisition of software technique. As fine literary skills form the base of effective use of a word processor, so too does acquisition of geographic and mapping concepts form the base of effective use of GIS software. Software is a rapidly moving target; underlying concepts and theories are not.
