A rich-and-beautiful robot asked the Cardinal if robots have souls.

"Some do and some don't," he answered. "Just like people."

"What about Ranger Diode?" someone asked.

"A good example of a distributed personality," he said. "With one consciousness spread over many bodies, Ranger Diode has one collective soul -- like an ant colony."

"May his collective soul burn in mechanical hell," I muttered.
