Danielle Lewis

Postdoctoral Fellow

I am a research fellow in the Neurodevelopment and Regeneration Laboratory and am interested in characterizing adult neurogenesis following focal ischemia. Using a rodent model of stroke, I am investigating the fate of ischemia-induced neural progenitor cells and examining to what extent these cells integrate into the existing neural circuits. I am also interested in the therapeutic use of induced pluripotent stem cells. When I am not in the lab, I enjoy spending time with my dog and husband, running, hiking and photography.
