Synopsis:
The film centers on Charles Saggers, a street busker – a Londoner who performs in the streets.  He meets Libby and catches her stealing from him, and then, from Harley Prentiss, a songwriter, taking a cigarette case.  Even though Libby steals to survive, she is a natural street entertainer, and Prentiss notices her talent, catapulting her to fame as a British music hall star.  Not forgetting Charles’ giving her a chance in the first place in his street act, she offers him an opportunity to be a performer on the inside.  Yet, he can only feel at home busking and in the company of his old friends.
