My Papers
Paul Erdos believed that research contributions should be "weighed and not counted" - though he certainly had the least incentive in the world to profess this. I, on the other hand, have a huge incentive to chime in agreement here! ;-) [BTW, I have an Erdos number of 4, by the chain Erdos -> Fishburn -> Rubinstein -> Abreu -> Smith .( Thanks, Dilip.)] So consistent with Erdos ' admonition, I offer a personal log-scale weighting of my own published/forthcoming papers, since I honestly feel in the best position to do so. It may prove a useful guide in deciding what to download. The rating is based on my estimate of their novelty and importance, as well as my own knowledge of the difficulty of the paper. Four star papers try to pose a new and hopefully central economic question, and I believe that they also offer real technical novelity. You be the judge.
