Kathryn Dominguez is Professor of Public Policy and Economics at the University of Michigan and Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. She is a member of the Advisory Scientific Committee of the European Systemic Risk Board, the Panel of Economic Advisers at the Congressional Budget Office, and the Economic Advisory Panel of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Her research interests include topics in international financial markets and macroeconomics. She has written numerous articles on foreign exchange rate behavior and is author of Exchange Rate Efficiency and the Behavior of International Asset Markets and Does Foreign Exchange Intervention Work? (with Jeff Frankel).

Prior to coming to the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and the Economics Department at the University of Michigan, she taught at the Kennedy School of Government. She has also taught at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, the London School of Economics, and the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley and worked as a research consultant for the Federal Reserve System, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the Bank for International Settlements. At the Ford School, Kathryn teaches finance, macroeconomics and international economics. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University.
