I'm an assistant professor at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, University of Michigan. I co-direct the Ford School’s International Policy Center and am a faculty affiliate of the University’s International Institute. My research and teaching focus on international law and politics in the Global South, particularly in Asia. As part of the inaugural class of Andrew Carnegie Fellows (2015-17), I am now conducting a research project on sovereignty-sharing arrangements in United Nations peacebuilding operations.
