We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow!

Fascinating biological processes occur from the making and breaking of a single bond, to the coordinated motion of thousands of atoms. The combined tools of ultrafast spectroscopy and nonlinear microscopy allow us to explore the diverse length and time scales of biology: from single molecules to single organisms, on time scales of femtoseconds, to seconds.

Ultrafast and Ultraslow Protein Dynamics

The diverse tools of laser spectroscopy allow us to follow protein dynamics over the complete range of timescales of protein function: from femtoseconds to seconds.

Single Molecule Spectroscopy

By observing proteins one at a time we can directly address questions that are often obscured in ensemble measurements. We can also ask new questions about protein function and the nature of protein-protein interactions.

Nonlinear Microscopy

Novel methods of microscopy provide new information about biology at the cellular and subcellular level.
