Thomas Reynolds is in his fourth year of studies at The University of Michigan, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in bassoon performance and music education. He currently studies with Dr. Jeffrey Lyman, and previous teachers include Richard Beene and Robert Williams. Thomas is a current member of the University of Michigan Symphony Band and has been a member of the University Philharmonia Orchestra as well as the Concert Band. He has also participated in various chamber music ensembles while at Michigan.
This past summer, he attended the Madeline Island Music Festival, an intensive chamber music experience that focuses on woodwind quintet literature. At this festival (located in northern Wisconsin), he studied with Tim McGovern and other members of the woodwind faculty at The University of Illinois. In the summer of 2006, Thomas studied with William Ludwig at the Brevard Music Festival in Brevard, NC.
