Welcome to the Laboratory for Intelligent Structural Technology (LIST) at the University of Michigan.
Our state-of-the-art laboratory is dedicated to the creation of smart structure technologies for the
next-generation of engineered structures. To advance structural health monitoring as a viable structural
asset management technology, students and faculty are engaged in the design of wireless sensing systems as
well as microelectromechanical system (MEMS) and nano-engineered sensors. Other laboratory research thrusts
include the exploration of decentralization in control and data processing algorithms.
The laboratory is proud to synergistically collaborate with research teams within the University of
Michigan as well as those outside. At the University of Michigan, LIST researchers are working closely
with researchers from:
In addition to collaborators on-campus, the vitality of LIST research is greatly enhanced by joint research with
the following collaborators:
Our research is sponsored by the National Science Foundation, Office of Naval Research, Michigan Department of
Transportation, and the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies.
