How to get to Ithaca
Ithaca is served by USAIR, and starting from May 1 Ithaca airport [ITH] will
also be served by Northwest airlines.
Because of the small size of Ithaca airport it is smaller planes that
fly into Ithaca, USAIR flights connect from New York[LGA] or
Phildelphia[PHL]. Northwest flights connect
through Detroit[DTW]. USAIR tends to have higher prices for
flying into Ithaca. Other options for flying into the Finger
Lakes region are Syracuse
airport[SYR] which is served by USAIR, Northwest, Delta, American
Air, Jet Blue and Independence air. Syracuse is about 50
miles from Ithaca. If you intend to rent a car, this may be a
cheaper option for you. Airport shuttle from SYR to Ithaca is $55
per person via Ithaca limo [800-273-9197 or 607-273-3030]. Other
airports nearby include Elmira Airport[ELM], served by
Northwest and USAIR, and Binghampton[BGM], served by Delta. Both
are about an hour drive away from Ithaca.

Lodging info
We recommend visiting www.visitithaca.com for lodging
options. We have blocked off 10 rooms in Clarion
Suite at $109.95. Clarion Suite will be about 2 miles
from campus and has a free airport
shuttle to Ithaca airport. It is also very close to Chris' house
on Hanshaw Road. Call Deanna Lockwood at 607-257-3310 by April 22 to
reserve a room. A little pricey but convenient option [you will
be able to walk to Sage Chapel and A.D. White House] will be to stay on
campus at
the Statler hotel
run by the Cornell Hotel Management school. It
has free airport shuttle from Ithaca airport. You will be able to
walk to both Sage Chapel and A.D. White house. If you intend to
rent a car while in ithaca, a lot more options open up to you.
There is a bed and breakfast called Hound and
the Hare two houses down the road from Chris's house. Here is
a link to a list of Bed and Breakfast Inns around the Ithaca area. [Click here] If you
would like to stay in downtown Ithaca a new Hilton Garden Inn will be
opening in May of 2005. Also here is a list of Ithaca hotels at Hotel-Rates.com
