- I began playing bridge in the
University of
Detroit Student Union at age 17. Bridge led me to venture, as a
young
"west-side" Detroiter, to play in my first club in Grosse Pointe.
For more than 20 years, I was a regular club player at the Pointe
Bridge
Center and less frequently at the War Memorial. I have many fond
memories of those years at the Pointe, and later at other clubs,
although
work has often not permitted me the luxury of playing time outside of
tournament
action.
