Welcome to my web site.....

My career as a registered nurse spans many years. I started as a staff nurse in the trauma intensive care unit of a regional medical center. Critical care experience led to new roles in clinical management.

After receiving a Master of Arts degree in Health Education, I moved to Honolulu, Hawai'i and developed health promotion programs for the City and County of Honolulu. I lived in Hawai'i for 13 years, many of which were spent in nursing leadership at the Queen's Medical Center, the premier medical system in the Pacific Basin.

Following a move back to the mainland, I was employed by a global tier one automotive manufacturer, Johnson Controls, Inc. in progressively expanding health and safety leadership positions.

I have recently completed a Master of Science degree in the Medical-Surgical Nursing / Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Michigan. I anticipate passing my Advanced Practice nursing boards in the spring of 2006.

Nursing offers a spectrum of career opportunities. As an nurse practitioner, I will incorporate features from previous roles, such as clinical assessments, healthy lifestyles, injury prevention and disability case management into advanced nursing practice.
