Hey, have any of you looked at the newish AD&D Player Option rules with the character points? I just did for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. While they still have a long way to go, these rules actually begin to bring AD&D into the modern era of roleplaying, allowing for greater character development and customization. As these are things that more female gamers I know than male are concerned about, I consider this a good sign that we are having some influence on the gaming industry. I find this quite cheering, and just wanted to share. :-)

Yes I have seen they rule, and I have made a few characters with them, thoughI have seen that it does permit some interesting Min Maxing

Mostly it's what you can push though the DM. Though I strive for balance, I am still bugged by what some guys want their characters to be able to do.
