Dealing with the Setite almost qualified as minor.  She can't have been operating for long, or she'd have found ways to enforce her people's loyalty.  What good are minions who flee at the first sign of trouble leaving the higher ups to get slaughtered?  It's enough to make me wonder if she was actually the one in charge in that nest.

Ginnie puzzles me.  She sketches constantly, her attention catching like a Toreador's.  She uses claws in combat as would a member of my clan.  She speaks to things others can't see (I'd say they weren't there except that something told her what bits of paraphernalia were most important) which leads in a completely different direction.  She doesn't act clanless, either.

Rachel Armstrong bothers me for a different reason.  Her business is not one with which I'm comfortable.  I've seen the wrong side of it too many times.  For the moment, I reserve judgment.  I need her contacts and knowledge of the city.  I'll simply have to pay attention to see how she treats her girls, to what lengths she'll go for recruitment and retention.

Andrew bothers me.  I don't see how he can survive knowing so little about the city in which he lives.  I'd hoped he might know something useful that I could persuade him to contribute to my efforts, but I fear he's a surface dweller.  He skims the surface and doesn't look beneath.  Perhaps he'll live longer that way, but I don't think he'll have nearly as much fun.

I hope that I'll truly be able to work with Ezekiel Brown.  Having a Tremere on one's side can be a handy thing, so long as they walk on the right side of their elders.  The fact that he was seeking me concerns me a little, but I hope that I can turn it to my advantage.  Obviously someone thinks I might know or be able to do something useful.  I simply wish he weren't also a newcomer in Las Vegas.

I had George put in an offer on one of the houses we looked at.  The basement should be useful.  I'm considering asking Andrew to put in a security system, but I'm not sure it will be worthwhile.  I don't know how long I'll be here, yet.  Las Vegas wouldn't be a bad place to settle, I suspect.  My clan has little interest here, but it's more my type of place than what I'm expected to enjoy.

Settling somewhere might have advantages.  I'd like to see George start a family.  I'm not certain that he can; his devotion to me might interfere.  Still, nieces and nephews could be a lot of fun.
