Anne C. Moore

Hello all. Welcome to my webpage. It's full of all sorts of trivia about me. Hopefully, you'll find some of it interesting. You won't find anything fancy in the way of page design here--  I tend to be a bit of a minimalist and to like my text to be just text.

As you've no doubt gathered, I'm Anne Christina Moore (E-mail me).

I was born in 1967 and spent most of my early years in Ann Arbor. When I was 12, we moved to Paw Paw, Michigan. I stayed there until I finished high school and then headed back to Ann Arbor for college.

I graduated from the University of Michigan's Residential College in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in creative writing. I've included two of the stories I wrote during those years here, Private Moments and Eyes. Both stories were published later in issues of the fanzine Face Forward. I've also posted my best poetry.

I started working full time for the Library that summer and started working toward a master's in library science that fall. Unfortunately, due to health problems, I had to choose between school and continued employment and so dropped out of the program.

For several years, I acted as an associate editor to a small press magazine publishing original horror, science fiction and fantasy. Stygian Articles ceased in the fall of 1997, but some back issues are still available.

I'm interested in doing more editing work, and I have some skill as a ghostwriter. If you're in need of a proofreader, stylistic editor, slush pile reader or ghostwriter, please let me know, and we'll see if we can work something out.

I enjoy doing tarot readings. I'm purely an amateur, but if you don't mind that feel free to e-mail me about a free reading. If you read too, I'd love to exchange readings. My style is more meditative than predictive, so don't expect me to tell you any great secrets about your future. I normally use either the Hanson-Roberts deck or the Sacred Rose deck.

Role playing games of various types are one of my major hobbies. Not all of the games I'm involved in have websites at present, but some of those that do are worth looking at.

Games I currently run:
None that have websites.

Discontinued campaigns:
Julie Raybon's Tapestry Amber game which ended during the summer of 2000
My character's diary and history are available for reading.
Matt Redding's Viva Lost Vegas campaign (Vampire)
My character's diary and history are available for reading.
Cave. An Amber PBEM letter game.
My Talion and Theomachy Amber game which ended in October of 2001. The archive is incomplete and lacks the notes for the last couple of sessions. I also never finished the npc listing.

My Montenegro Investigations Agency GURPS campaign. My husband talked about making a website for this but never quite got around to it.
Ended June 2002.
My Original Sin Amber campaign. I did not maintain this website; one of the players did.

Games I play in:
Scott Rutter's GURPS Traveller campaign
Dana Bayer's Best Intentions, an Amber PBEM campaign

For a while, I moderated a group called Women In Gaming on Sixdegrees, a forum that no longer exists. The group was not related to the Women In Gaming website. The group was intended as a forum for women and supportive men to discuss the difficulties and pleasures of being a female gamer (includes role playing, computer games, minis, ccgs, etc.). Our discussions took place between February 1999 and July 2000, but I didn't manage to archive everything before Sixdegrees disappeared.

I plan to run a LARP using my own system, PlotLuck, at the following convention in 2005.

If you're interested in having me run a LARP scenario for your group or convention, please send me e-mail letting me know where and when. I'm limited in terms of the distance I can travel and am generally working with a tight budget and schedule.

If you are local to Ann Arbor and would like to be on a mailing list for LARP events not at conventions, please let me know. The Wolverine Gaming Club sponsored a couple of games in 2002. What happens with the group after that will depend on the level of interest people express and my general availability.

Since June of 1993, I've been married to Scott Rutter. He's my partner in running LARPs and has put in a lot of work to make our rules system both simple and functional. We have child.

A bunch of people I know have web pages. I'm working on a list of them.
